The Federal Government & National Politics content is covered during the annual trip to Washington, D.C. This trip includes the introduction to the structure of the federal government and current legislative issues.

During the trip, the class has opportunities to hear directly from Members of Congress, visit the Capitol building, and interact with the leaders from various government agencies, political and think tank organizations.

The Indiana Leadership Forum's tuition is supplemented by generous contributions from individuals, community groups, and businesses in order to meets its escalating operating costs and subsidize the annual class trip to Washington, D.C.
